The Revels Office are delighted to share that Professor Catherine Richardson FSA will deliver the keynote lecture at our upcoming conference. She will be sharing her work on Shakespeare’s Objects (Arden Shakespeare, forthcoming).
Catherine Richardson is Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Arts and Humanities) and Professor of Early Modern Studies at the University of East Anglia. She has published extensively on material culture and the history of the creative industries, and is the general editor (with Rory Loughnane) of the Oxford Marlowe: Collected Works. She also works closely with museums and archives on creative heritage projects.
A Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries of London and the Royal Historical Society, Catherine sits on the Council of the Malone Society and, in 2021, took on the role of Governor of the Pasold Research Fund, which promotes and supports research on textile history.
Catherine’s expertise on the material realities of theatre and performance make her the ideal keynote speaker for our conference. Tickets for the conference are £10-15 (free to attend online) and can be booked via the Society of Antiquaries’ website. Booking closes on 8th June.
